My eighth post

Day7. On day seven my dad, uncle and I were going to leave Lebanon to fly back to Australia. We woke up early at around six fifteen in the morning got our stuff together, and got ready to make our way to the airport. Before we left we all had breakfast together. We left to go to the airport, and as the time got closer for us to leave it became more and more emotional. We got to the airport weighed and checked our luggage and went through customs. it was time to go we said our good byes and farewells and boarded the plane. After a long long flight home we got off the plane and went through customs, then to walk out of the gate and see my mum, sisters, brother waiting for us, i missed them so much!

Day6. On day six all we wanted to do is just relax and take it easy. We invited a few family friends over for BBQ and it was cool just hanging out at home just before we were going to fly back to Australia the next day. We had lunch and desert, then Lebanese coffee. After all of this we all just sat and sung songs which was pretty fun as well. After our family friends left we all helped clean up the backyard and around the house, then went to the shops for abit because we got bored.

Day5. On day five we all decided to go to the beach for the day, and our neighbours have two jet skis which was fun as well. We brought cold meat, bread rolls and salads for lunch. It was awesome, just sitting on the beach relaxing, and having fun riding the jet skii or even just swimming. We also took a couple of fishing rods just to try our luck we ended up catching a few writings but that’s about it. After we finished swimming and jet skiing we packed up and went for gelato, it was really nice and refreshing after a big day on the water and swimming.

Day4. On day four my dad, uncles, cousins and I organised to go skiing. We went to the skiing place and hired our ski’s we had to wear heavy clothing as it was very very cold in the snow. We all went to the top of the mountain and decided to race each other down . it was so fun and funny, my cousin fell then my dad did, it was me my uncles and other cousins still in the race, but i ended up winning.

Day3. On day three my dad, uncles, cousins and I organised a hunting trip in the mountains. We woke up at around four o’clock in the morning had breakfast and set off at around five fifteen. As we were walking to the mountains we were all cracking jokes and singing, it was fun. We arrived to the top, loaded our guns and got prepared to shoot. Then all of a sudden bang! My dad made the first kill, then my uncle then me. At the end of the day we had killed around fifty birds all together. We arrived back at my grandparents house, and cooked the birds on the bbq.

Day2. On day two my dad, uncle and I arrived at the airport in Beirut Lebanon.  both my grandparents, family, relatives where waiting for us at the airport. It was so good to see them and it was very emotional because we have not seen them in a long long time. After all the greetings we collected our luggage and made our way back to my grandparents house in a village called zahleh, where there was a massive table set up with all different types of Lebanese food such as kebeh nayeh, tabouli, kafta, homous just to name a few.

Day1.  On day one my dad, uncle family, relatives and I woke up early in the morning to make our way to the airport. We stopped at MacDonald’s for breakfast on the way there, it was good we had some family bonding time together before we had to get on the plane. When we got to the airport we had our baggage checked and weighed, then they took them and put them on the plane. We all sat down and had coffee together just to kill time. Once it was time to leave, we started saying our goodbyes. It was very emotional.

Hello my name is Jason E and I am 16 and a student at Bankstown Catholic College. I am planning on going on a holiday to Lebanon.  I will be travelling to Lebanon with my dad and uncle. I am really looking forward to this holiday because I get to see my grandmother, grandfather, aunts, uncles and cousins whom I haven’t seen in a long while and also have a great time exploring the views, lifestyle, environment and the night life in the city. I look forward to a number of different fun activities such as hunting, skiing, sports and more. If anyone wants to go for a holiday and learn about the history of the country and see beautiful sights and have an awesome time, I highly recommend Lebanon!
